Zetsumei's New Look

This is just something fun I wanted to post... the new look of my Villain main, Zetsumei, a Ninja/Poison Mastermind. I haven't posted much about her on this blog because she has reached level 50 a long time ago (within a month of COV going live), her build and my playstyle with her is just perfect in my eyes, and I do not play her as often as I would like, so it just never came up. Either way, I'm pretty darn proud of her and I rather enjoy playing Zetsumei when I do.

Background Story:
I never wrote an actual background story for her, but she does have one.

The synopsis is that her outward appearance is of a 20-something, beautiful, young, wealthy woman, who belongs to one of the most rich, powerful, and vicious yakuza family in Japan. This family also has noble bloodlines dating back from ancient Japan and is also known to have a long line of matriarchs known as Zetsumei, ruling the clan that possess ultimate knowledge in herbs and natural materials that is passed down with each generation. It is said that with this knowledge, the clan matriarch is able to bring back someone from recent death, cure cancers, or prolong life. However, such generosity is rare, as she is more likely to use her knowledge to bring about madness, blindness, fear, weakness, or simply death.

The current Zetsumei is the woman you see here and now. It is unclear as to why she's so damned evil and has such an interest in the Rogue Isles and making war with the heroes. It is believed to have something to do with a rare plant/some secret knowledge/money and power/all of the above that she is after (I haven't worked this out myself).

The truth is that this Zetsumei, is the original Zetsumei who is over a thousand years old, age unknown (I will have to do research to decide on this), have kept her youthful appearance and prolonged life with her knowledge in herbs and poisons. She used to be a nice girl who found something or another that taught her all about herbs and such (I need to figure this out too, though it probably has something to do with her Oni). She was eventually shunned and cast out by her family due to being accused of using dark magic and curses, which in truth was all that natural herbal goodness that she learned from somewhere. Even so, that event didn't turn her all evil like, but it was a start. Some other event, or series of events was what caused her spiral into evil (which of course I haven't worked out what or how yet).

She doesn't hold human beings in high regard, or any regard at all, viewing them as expendable toys. Heck, her ninja minions are her children's descendants and she's perfectly happy with them giving their lives for her. Even if she has the knowledge to resurrect them should they die, she doesn't think its worth the effort.

So there you have it, Zetsumei in a nutshell. She's my favorite character concept and costume. Feel free to check out her CIT profile here.

Its fun to see what she used to look like.. her original costume is seen above. (This was back in the day when I made "trading cards" for my character and my friends' characters)

And what she looks like now. With the "Ninja Run" stance, a slick hair style, and her new gear; she looks kick ass. I enjoy playing her even more now and am constantly in awe of how cool my character looks and I'm dead serious about this too! 

Yes, it does help that she is fully purpled IO'ed, she runs +4 missions easily and can solo certain Hero/AV class enemies. But still, I can't get over her new look. Its just awesome!
